Imagine having all the flavour you need in one bag to make delicious crispy fries.
Well you can, using a pack of lemon lupin crumbs.
These are ridiculously easy to make and are crunchy, salty, cheesy and completely addictive. Perfect as a snack, appetiser on a grazing board, with a side dip or mayonnaise or paired with a salad for a light meal.
Cut the halloumi into 12 thick fry-shaped sticks, approximately 1.5-2cm thick.
450 g halloumi cheese
Pat dry with paper towel.
Place the beaten egg in one bowl and the Lupin Lemon Crumb Mix in another.
1 egg, 1 cup Lupin Lemon Crumb Mix
Dip each halloumi fry into the egg, allowing excess to drip off.
Coat thoroughly in the Lupin Lemon Crumb Mix, pressing lightly so the crumb adheres.
Arrange in a single layer in your air fryer basket. Lightly spray with olive oil.
Olive oil
Air fry at 190°C for 8–10 minutes, turning halfway through, or until golden and crispy.
Times may vary depending on your air fryer.
I HIGHLY RECOMMEND Squeezing over fresh lemon juice for extra tasty fries, before dipping. This recipe can be doubled.
For the dippings sauce: mix all together
½ cup Greek yoghurt, 1 clove garlic, 1 tsp lemon juice, Salt and pepper
