Made with nutritious Australian Sweet Lupins, our pasta spirals are completely natural and rich in beneficial fibre. These delicious and wholesome spirals are not only an excellent healthy option but also remarkably easy to prepare – ready in under 3 minutes without any boiling required.

How to Cook Protein Pasta for Best Results

You may know that our lupin protein pasta is different and better than other pasta varieties, but it needs a little tender, love and care when preparing your meal. Due to the lack of gluten, which helps bind ingredients together, and its high protein content, we recommend the following steps:

  • Add the pasta to your sauce just before the sauce is ready, about 2-3 minutes max.
  • Add a little extra water to prevent the meal from burning as the pasta is dry and will absorb about half its weight in water.
  • Let the sauce cook the pasta by simmering it in the pot and gently stirring occasionally.
  • Spoon or pour the fully cooked pasta on a plate.
  • Top with parmesan cheese or desired garnishes.
  • Enjoy your delicious Lupin pasta dish.

    The pasta helped me overcome my bread craving by giving me that chewy sensation when I ate it. It tastes bland like ordinary pasta – maybe a bit more like a protein powder flavour. I might rebuy it, but it has a dry texture and mouth feel when it’s cooked. My kids didn’t like it – but that’s not to say they wouldn’t get used to it.

      Hi Peace – thank you for trying the pasta and for taking the time to share your experience with the taste and mouth feel. My suggestion is to add the pasta to the sauce so it absorbs the sauce and takes on that taste and texture. Boiling the pasta is the least best way to eat our Lupin pasta – lupin pasta does not need to be cooked/boiled… you simply need to re-hydrate it with the sauce of choice and bingo, you will love it – lots of protein and no bloating as you get from other pasta’s.
