I’m diabetic and my daughter is celiac, I use lupin flour to make cakes and for dusting meat I’m going to crumb. I even made a boiled Christmas cake last Christmas, it turned out fantastic and Salt and Pepper Squid with the lupin flour, yum. I use the flakes for bread crumbs and the lemon pepper crumb as well. Flakes can also be put in rissoles to help keep them together, I think it works better than the old bead crumb. This product is better than gluten free flour, it tastes better and is low carb so I can eat it too. It has a better taste and flavour than normal flours. I love that’s it grown in Australia, it makes it taste even better 🙂 Still experimenting cant wait to see what I can come up with next.

Excellent consistency, I use it for baking and making “porridge” out of. I eat the porridge everyday and it’s my favourite meal. Served with no sugar yoghurt, berries and almond milk. Delish!

My husband makes his gluten free muesli with Lupin as the base. I also use it to replace oats in cookies, fruit crumbles and any recipe that uses oats (which are not generally GF).
Lupin tastes a little different to oats but isn’t unpleasant and you will soon adapt to the taste.

It sounds like it would be delicious, just like all the other products from the Lupin Co -BUT this product is not pleasant at all. I have tried 2 of the 4 packets I purchased and nothing improves the taste. My last two packets unfortunately will go in the bin. Tumeric is a very strong flavour and overpowers this item….I can’t think of any other reason why it’s yukky because lupins, rice and coconut are all great flavours.

Hi Derylee. Really sorry to hear that you didn’t like the taste of the Turmeric and Coconut Rice. No doubt Turmeric is a strong flavour and we added coconut to smooth that off a little. Adding the lupin flakes to boost the protein was aimed at a reduced rice carbohydrate condiment – use a little instead of carb loaded rice.
