Non-GMO Declaration

To whom it may concern;

I am writing to you on behalf of the Australian Pulse industry.

Pulse Australia is the peak industry body, representing all sectors of the pulse industry value chain in Australia, with a focus on merchants, traders and exporters.

Pulse Australia is an independent, non-political and whole-of-industry organisation, which acts as a catalyst for the development of the pulse industry.

This letter has been prepared for the purpose of providing independent and authoritative assurance that commercial trading of Australian pulses only involves non-GM pulses. This includes the commercial trading of lupins (legume seeds of Lupinus genus).

Commerical production in Australia of any living organism which has been the subject of genetic modification is only permitted with approval from the Federal Government’s Office of Gene Technology Regulator (OGTR). The OGTR has not approved GM pulses to be commercially grown in Australia, nor has it granted approval for importation of GM pulses.

Consequently, I am able to provide the assurance that any Australian grown pulses you might purchase, including any lupins from The Lupin Company, will be non-GM.
