Crispy Lemon Lupin Halloumi Fries
Imagine having all the flavour you need in one bag to make delicious crispy fries.
Well you can, using a pack of lemon lupin crumbs.
These are ridiculously easy to make and are crunchy, salty, cheesy and completely addictive. Perfect as a snack, appetiser on a grazing board, with a side dip or mayonnaise or paired with a salad for a light meal.
Ingredients
Halloumi Sticks
- 450 g halloumi cheese
- 1 egg lightly beaten
- 1 cup Lupin Lemon Crumb Mix
- Olive oil spray
Creamy Garlic Dipping Sauce
- ½ cup Greek yoghurt or Mayonnaise
- 1 clove garlic finely grated
- 1 tsp lemon juice
- Salt and pepper to taste
Instructions
- Cut the halloumi into 12 thick fry-shaped sticks, approximately 1.5-2cm thick.450 g halloumi cheese
- Pat dry with paper towel.
- Place the beaten egg in one bowl and the Lupin Lemon Crumb Mix in another.1 egg, 1 cup Lupin Lemon Crumb Mix
- Dip each halloumi fry into the egg, allowing excess to drip off.
- Coat thoroughly in the Lupin Lemon Crumb Mix, pressing lightly so the crumb adheres.
- Arrange in a single layer in your air fryer basket. Lightly spray with olive oil.Olive oil
- Air fry at 190°C for 8–10 minutes, turning halfway through, or until golden and crispy.
- Times may vary depending on your air fryer.
- I HIGHLY RECOMMEND Squeezing over fresh lemon juice for extra tasty fries, before dipping. This recipe can be doubled.
- For the dippings sauce: mix all together½ cup Greek yoghurt, 1 clove garlic, 1 tsp lemon juice, Salt and pepper
